For rotor windings consistency in electrical properties pinhole free insulation is provided in class 200 enamel coating. Wire is fully annealed and surface treated for defect/roughness free surface of copper. Enamel is coated with solid dies using high viscosity enamel ensuring concentricity of coating across the cross section and along the length. The enamel used has excellent flow properties to get a pinhole free coating. The extra annealing makes the wire very soft thus winding and forming of the coil shape is with least resistance.
